I let my ex take the blame for something I did
I cheated on my ex and when he found out I blamed him for pushing me away and not giving me enough attention. I made myself the victim. Our friends all sided with me. He lost almost all his friends and some family members distanced themselves from him. He never publicly defended himself. I still see him sometimes and he looks broken. I know I destroyed his reputation and relationships. The guilt is bad but at the time I was too scared to take responsibility. I should have been honest. He didn't deserve what I did to him.
