I faked a proposal to trap my partner
I wanted to get engaged but my partner wasn't ready. I bought a cheap ring and proposed in public at a big family event so they would feel pressured to say yes. They said yes because everyone was watching. We're engaged now but I know they weren't ready. They seem unhappy sometimes. I don't know if I should have done it this way. The guilt is there but I'm scared if I admit I pressured them they'll want to call it off. Our relationship feels different now.
