I pretend to have a disability for benefits
I walk with a cane and use a wheelchair in public sometimes. I applied for disability benefits three years ago and got approved. I collect monthly payments and get special parking and discounts. In reality I'm perfectly healthy. I go to the gym when no one is watching. The money helps but the fear of getting caught in an audit is constant. I feel like a fraud every time I use the benefits. If they investigate me I'll have to pay everything back and could face legal trouble. The guilt is growing.
