I pretended to be gay to get close to a girl
I had a huge crush on a girl in college. I pretended to be gay so I could become her best friend and get close to her. She told me everything about her relationships and personal life. I listened and gave advice while secretly hoping she would fall for me. After 8 months I 'came out' as straight and told her I had feelings for her. She was disgusted and cut me off completely. I lost the friendship and any chance I had with her. I still feel ashamed about how manipulative I was. I betrayed her trust in the worst way.
