I have a secret gambling addiction and lost our house deposit
My wife and I have been saving for a house for 3 years. I had access to the account. I started gambling small amounts and kept losing. I lost the entire deposit money — over 40,000 dollars. She still thinks we have the money saved. She talks about looking at houses every weekend. I keep making excuses about the market or waiting for better rates. The debt is growing and I'm borrowing from friends to cover bills. If she finds out it will destroy our marriage. I'm in too deep and I don't know how to fix it.
