I let my friend drive drunk and he crashed
We were at a party and both drunk. I was too tired to drive so I let my friend drive us home. He crashed into a tree. He is now paralyzed from the waist down. I told everyone I tried to stop him but I didn't really try hard enough. He took the blame and said he insisted on driving. He still doesn't blame me. I visit him sometimes and the guilt is unbearable. He lost his future because of that night. I got away with only minor injuries. I should have taken the keys or called a cab. I'll never forgive myself for what happened to him.
